Elisabeth (Elysee) Museme
Age: 24
From: Goma, DRC

My name is Elisabeth Museme, eldest in a family of 7 children including 6 girls and 1 boy. I was born in Goma on July 22, 1996, daughter of Jean Marie Vianey Kalinde and Brigitte Ponga Kizila, all civil servants.

At the end of secondary school, I already knew that I wanted to become a journalist and that if that didn't work, I already had a back-up plan; "If I don't become a journalist someday, I will become a psychologist." Apart from that I do training to enrich myself, such as decoration and floral arrangement. In 2017 I was therefore certified in decoration and floral arrangement after a 2-month training at Divine Schools of Africa in Nairobi. For the moment I am studying photography with the Lens on Life Project at CAMME Goma, with the aim of adding knowledge as a journalist, but above all with the aim of being an example and showing the women around me that photography was not only made for men but for everyone.
