Mohammed Silahuddin Hazim
Mosul, Iraq
My name is Mohammed Silah, and I’m from Mosul, Iraq. I currently live in Sulaymaniyah, Kurdistan, after fleeing Mosul when it was captured by ISIS. The journey to Sulaymaniyah was challenging, but we eventually arrived safely and felt immense relief to be in a secure place. When special schools for refugees opened, I eagerly enrolled and completed high school at the age of 22. Now, I’m a university student studying computer science.
Photography has been my passion since childhood, but financial constraints meant I couldn’t afford a camera. These days, I’m working hard to refine my photography skills and catch up on the latest techniques, hoping to fully embrace my hobby once again.
