Tyreese Nacho

Tyreese Nacho is a 23 year old Bronx-born photographer, currently working and residing in the South Bronx. Growing up in one of New York City’s most dangerous neighborhoods, Tyreese was consistently exposed to street violence, incarceration, and trauma. On the streets of the Bronx, he met a local NGO and was later introduced to their partner Lens on Life Project. He began training with Lens on Life and is now the staff photographer for a New York nonprofit called  Youth Justice Network, a gigging event photographer, and was part of the United Nations comms team shooting for the UN General Assembly SDG Pavilion. 

“In 3-D,” which stands for “Days of Drugs and Drill,” follows the daily reality of an up-and-coming drill rapper, Nuskii Rollack, from the South Bronx. The project explores the many risks and raw emotions that define the drill music scene in New York.

As Nuskii's blood cousin, I have seen the dangers and emotional turmoil that come with his rising fame. Having been formerly incarcerated, photography became my escape from the cycle of violence that plagues many young men in the Bronx.
